What we're not talking about when it comes to humanizing the workplace
A Talk by Paula Quinsee (Growth Mindset Catalyst, Mental Health, and GBVH Advocate, Ati2ud Communications)
About this Talk
We can't talk #DEI and #humanizetheworkplace if we are not creating equitable workplaces when it comes to mental health and wellbeing.
Many organisations have implemented employee wellness initiatives to help employees implement self-care routines, and to find a balance between home responsibilities and work deliverables. But, one topic that is not being covered accurately under the employee wellness banner is gender-based violence and harassment (GBVH). Are your policies and protocols updated to reflect the home as the new workplace? You may be non-compliant and find yourself in hot water.
Session Takeaways
GBVH happens in our homes, communities and businesses, we can't ignore it anymore. GBVH is a global pandemic just like COVID and we need to globally collaborate to beat it. GBVH is more than just a male/female gender issue. | Businesses have a responsibility to keep their employees safe.
